From now until March 30th, and from October 22nd, 2025 to January 26th, 2026, Neptune finishes up its 14-year-long stay in Pisces and makes us reconsider massively important parts of our lives where we’ve learned life lessons. During those timeframes, there will usually be some sort of recap or even tests of whether we’ve truly learned our lesson just yet… and with Neptune, they may appear innocent, subtle, or more mundane than they truly are.
Neptune rules wisdom and spiritual growth. Thereby, these life lessons that we’ve learned since April 2011 are very deep and highly important themes to take with us into the future: Neptune in Pisces will not repeat in our lifetimes. This means that this event does set us up for life.

Life Lessons of Neptune in Pisces
When an outer planet changes signs, it’s always a major event that shakes up our individual as well as our collective realities… and that starts when the previous sign journey is in its last throes. This time will therefore neither be insignificant nor as gentle as we might like it to be: but it will be powerful.
While Neptune in Pisces brought us many, many things collectively – some of which I summarized in this article on Neptune in Pisces for all of us – the lessons are also quite unique to us as individuals. This article gives some pointers on what your individual life lessons were via your Sun and Rising Sign. Obviously, this is a generalization – your unique natal chart, meaning your astrological blueprint, is far more complex than just your Sun and Rising Sign (or ASC). For a more comprehensive analysis and individual advice, book a session here. However, this article should set you up well for the time ahead in which those life lessons and the ones unique to you and your specific chart/life experience throughout the past 14 years will be tested and further integrated.
Neptune weaves a web of semi-conscious wisdom that, with time, can become conscious. Part of that wisdom is lessons coming our way that we must strive to understand, even when it’s hard. This is the finale of that journey… and just as with any finale, themes from the past may pop up again, we may be thrown into situations again that we’ve thought we’d fully left behind, and we’re given the opportunity to make good and wise(r) choices based on what we’ve learned.
This is a time to pay attention – especially to your gut instinct and intuition – and to look beneath the surface of things. Not all that happens right now is what it seems, and not all that glitters is gold. Similarly, even the shit we’re given can become fertilizer if used correctly. It’s up to you… and your level of awareness.
In the following article, we’ll cover first the dates of Neptune in Pisces and then life lessons already learned as per your Sun and Rising Sign (the Rising is more important here). Please read them carefully, but keep in mind that they need to be placed within a larger context of your chart and your life. Without further ado, let’s dive right in.
Dates:
April 4th – August 5th, 2011,
February 3rd, 2012 – March 30th, 2025,
October 22nd, 2025 – January 26th, 2026.
Between March 30th and October 22nd, 2025, and after January 26th, 2026, Neptune will enter Aries. It’ll stay there until 2039. Read about Neptune in Aries here.
Neptune will not return to Pisces until March 20th, 2175.

Please note that these are generalized predictions for your Sun and Rising Sign. However, your astrological blueprint is actually much more complex than just one sign – it’s unique to you. If you’d like to have more personal and tailored-to-you interpretations of advice, please book a reading here.

Aries
The past 14 years taught you how to say goodbye as everything in your life that needed to end gradually got brought to a close. This was a time for final endings and a purification of your entire life and even self. You learned to release grief and grudges, outdated patterns and ideas about yourself and life as a whole – gradually, but truly. Moreover, you likely had to say goodbye to past versions of yourself. You learned how to say goodbye after an ending that brought no closure and how to release past pain that needed to be let out.
Neptune here taught you about not being in control and dealing with life that brought you curveballs. Where you self-sacrificed and self-sabotaged, you have been led to grow. Where you let others walk all over you, you’ve learned about the inevitable results and need for boundaries. It has also brought you awareness of the suffering of others and compassion for experiences that aren’t your own. You may have decided to/learned to draw boundaries with how much suffering you let yourself be exposed to, and/or learned about how you can act and alleviate other people’s pain. Altruism and charity may have been part of your life during this timeframe.
Most prominently, spiritual growth, a life devoted to higher ideals, soul’s purpose, religious/spiritual ideations, and life’s meaning came with Neptune in Pisces for you. You may have learned a lot about yourself during this timeframe, including themes that seem intangible and impossible to put into words (they will become accessible to your logical mind with time). Your intuition will have grown a lot, too: keep trusting it.
Neptune in Aries for you marks a new beginning. Check out this article for further information on what (positive things!) are ahead.
Taurus
The last 14 years taught you about your friends and social circle, as well as the truth, lies, and even webs of deceit and manipulations that humans are capable of… especially in the context of groups and communities. At best, Neptune in Pisces showed you the beauty of the human spirit, the altruism and selfless compassion that people are capable of, and how trusting the right people and opening our hearts lead to miracle-like transformations. Friends that are soulmates may have played a role in your life and working in groups sharing a humanitarian goal (or creative endeavor) may have been particularly magical. The not-so-nice side of Neptune in Pisces showed you whom not to trust and gave you the instinct of knowing when to look deeper because someone or something isn’t as it seems to be. Group-think and mob mentalities showed their true power… but also taught you how to disentangle yourself from other people’s false beliefs (this is a great preparation for Pluto in Aquarius that deals with the power and misuse of groups).
Friends – especially false ones – may have fallen away at this time as your social circle transformed. However, friends also taught you your own capacity for love, forgiveness, and mercy, as well as your capacity to let people go and detach yourself from outcomes.
Neptune in Pisces also radically impacted your dreams and goals for the future. This time may have given you pie-in-the-sky dreams no human can fulfill but that will have taught you massive spiritual lessons and brought you a little closer to the path you’re meant to be on (even if you walk a very different path now than your dream suggests – the tools and lessons you learned will come in handy). Old dreams died and fell away while new – and right ones – were born in the corners of your heart. Walking by trust in your intuition, rather than a specific goal alone, could have also been a lesson you learned at this time.
Gemini
The last 14 years taught you about public life and authority. The leaders and role models, bosses, and other authority figures in your life probably had a disenchanting rise to and fall from the pedestal that taught you much about yourself and the illusions we can attach to those who appear to have more power and prominence. Power itself – and prestige, status, success – may have had its own temptations that went beyond what you usually experienced, but became a spiritual teacher: be it through the elusiveness of not getting (enough of) it, the emptiness of gaining it and realizing it wasn’t what you thought it’d be, or the experience of having it and growing from it positively.
The carefully curated images people tend to in public life will have, in their own way, become more powerful for you during this timeframe (for instance because you at times believed the illusions, or you could see through them when others couldn’t – though other options also apply). This taught you about the white lies, scams, deception, and acting people are capable of and how to look through them… but also, when portraying a role rather than authentic self serves a higher purpose (if done ethically – such as a teacher in an emergency situation pasting on a smile and portraying calm so that their kid students can get through it better).
In work and your career life, you may have been led down a path that felt like only the first steps were illuminated – and everything else was a foggy mess of confusion and lack of clarity. You’ve learned to navigate this path and, most often, trust your intuition more because of it. You may have also learned to prioritize a job or career that allows you to make a difference in the lives of others as well as yourself and seek a meaning that goes beyond the physical world. The fruits of this journey (whether you’re at your final destination in terms of career path or not) will help you continue on/find the path that truly feels fulfilling.
Cancer
The last 14 years taught you about what to believe, and most importantly, what not to believe. Under Neptune in Pisces, you’ve learned that some things can’t be taken at face value and that some systems of thought and learning are fraught with lies, deception, illusion, or simply misunderstandings people never corrected so they became “commonly known truth.” Not all belief systems that tempt you were truthful or working, just as not all that glitters is gold: but some were and you’ve grown a lot from evaluating, and re-evaluating, psychological, spiritual, political, religious, academic, philosophical, and other belief systems.
Your beliefs have also received an update to become more spiritually led (be that through religious or spiritual or ethical influences), and to become overall more empathetic and compassionate towards others. Forgiveness and its role in life will have changed for you.
Another thing that likely played an elevated role in your life is the topic of religion and other institutions dictating thought and belief. While there was much growth to be had here for good, there was likely also an experience (or more) of hurt and grief that led to growth. We can grow through fertilizer – but often, that one’s made from dung.

Leo
For you, the past 14 years taught you about your own power and the power of the people and things around you. Neptune in Pisces can weave webs of dependency and dissolve them – under this astrological event, you’ll likely have experienced both.
One of the most prominent lessons you’ve learned during this time was your capacity to stand up for yourself and set boundaries, especially in situations where you thought doing so was impossible (or it just hadn’t occurred to you that such a thing was necessary). Similarly, your attachment to power was also transformed as letting go of control and trusting – in the Divine or another person or even a situation – was a major part of this growth journey. As human beings, we sometimes have to ask for help. Neptune in Pisces showed you where you couldn’t do it alone, and whom you could trust. In intimacy, Neptune in Pisces revealed both lies and truth and the shades of grey when both are mixed.
Your intuition was another massive lesson during this time, as Neptune, Pisces, and the part of your chart touched by the combination all signify intuition. Your gut instinct, insight, intuitive knowledge, or even plain subconscious have been more active than usual and have taught you what to trust, whom to trust, and how to trust this part of yourself that knows much more than your logical mind.
Virgo
For you, the past 14 years taught you all about your relationships and brought you spiritual lessons through the people you met. Some of these were literally in the form of spiritual or intuitive teachers, others by people who taught you about your capacity to forgive and to find compassion for others. Creative and self-sacrificing, empathic people may have abounded in your life. However, in a darker context, it was also more likely for you to attract people willing to use you, people using substances or toxic behaviors to escape reality and their own pain, hurt people willing to hurt others much worse than what they experienced, and people with (variously significant) mental health issues.
What you have learned from this experience is a better sense of whom to trust and when to say goodbye to relationships that aren’t serving you, especially because they’re toxic. You’ve learned a better sixth sense for the people around you and how compassion, empathy, and forgiveness can transform a relationship for the better. You’ve also learned the importance of boundaries, even when they’re hard to hold.
Moving forward, remember that not every teacher taught you about yourself – many taught you about themselves and humanity as a whole. You don’t have to, and you really shouldn’t take on everything that somebody else projected onto you. Not everyone who met you saw you clearly, even if they think they did.
Libra
For you, the past 14 years impacted your daily life and routines, inviting you to become more flexible and teaching you to infuse your mundane reality with meaningful things that make you feel like you’re serving your life purpose. You may have also learned about tasks and work habits that make you feel like you’re endlessly treading water without getting anywhere, and what life path (and work) actually feels like it makes a difference. Addiction to busy-ness and productivity may have been replaced by a true understanding of what matters in life and the desire to do something that matters in the long haul.
Spiritual/religious service, and any type of work where you’re altruistically making a difference for another, were highlighted for you during this timeframe. You’ve learned the necessity and the power of putting yourself second to another and might have even experienced a situation where there was no choice but to help someone else in an ongoing capacity.
This time has taught you when to say No, and where the line between abuse/being used, and helping another is and should be. This time has also told you that your body and mental health will draw the boundaries that you don’t want to set but need to hold.
Scorpio
The last 14 years taught you about romantic love and your heart’s desire. A magical, addictive honeymoon phase in relationships, the moment of first plunging neck-deep into love (or lust), and the heart-flutter of excitement that comes with getting to know a love interest will have felt extra-captivating and extra-fantastical for you during that time… but what Neptune here taught you is that this feeling is often partially based on illusion and lies. At best, Neptune showed you through the work of fully getting to know someone that something can turn from idealization to a deep, real, true love. At worst, Neptune showed you that someone idealizing you, or you them or you both being more in love with love than each other, that this is only basis for heartbreak. You may have lost and grieved a partnership that wasn’t meant for you.
But Neptune in Pisces also taught you about love from a soul level. The past 14 years purified and prepared you for (and in some cases, introduced you to) people whom you love so unconditionally, purely, and altruistically (and vice versa), that the great love stories in the world would pale in comparison. Forgiveness and compassion, the spiritual bases for a relationship, were taught to you when it comes to love – regardless of whether you spend your time in a relationship, or not.
Children – be it the inner child or actual children in your environment (f.e. your own kids!) were also spiritual teachers for you who taught you much about what truly matters. Creative work and fun gradually transformed your life until you found purpose… and inspiration. Let the inspiration remain with you as you journey from Neptune in Pisces to Neptune in Aries and let it be the basis for finding the work you’re meant to do.

Sagittarius
The last 14 years taught you about your roots, family, home, and private life. Neptune in Pisces taught you a lesson of grieving and letting go of the past, especially past pains and dependencies. It might have also made you more fascinated with history (and/or family legacies) and gave it to you as a spiritual teacher who revealed things about yourself and all of life to you.
With Neptune in Pisces, you might have run into a theme of family depending on you in some way, or another form of service that has to do with family and your home. Family (found and blood) showed and taught you about unconditional love, forgiveness, mercy… and what they don’t look like as well. Neptune in Pisces also taught you about putting the people you love as a priority while also (and this is/was a learning curve) setting the appropriate boundaries so that you remain nourished. The same goes for your home: Neptune in Pisces showed you what you need so that a home becomes a place of refuge and not a drain to you. There might have been spiritual lessons attached to that subject as well (home can also be more than just a building – f.e., a country). For some of you, this may have meant looking for a new home or being led to a new relationship with the home you have.
Another thing that Neptune in Pisces likely taught you is the importance of privacy and your private life. Vulnerability is a major theme with Neptune in Pisces: in this part of your chart, the lesson for you was to learn when to let people in and share this part of yourself with them, and when you aren’t ready to do so (and when someone else isn’t safe or shouldn’t yet be the recipient of your trust). Neptune in Pisces for you may also have been a lesson in what kind of attention feels positive, and what attention is a hook that makes you feel worse than you did before. As Neptune enters the part of your chart dealing with self-expression next, this is an important lesson to take into the future.
Capricorn
The last 14 years of Neptune in Pisces have taught you all about your voice and capacity to communicate, as well as the way the mind and the media can work… and how they can deceive us. This was a learning journey – quite literally so – as information, schooling, education, teaching, and related endeavors were impacted by Neptune in Pisces for you. One of the most important lessons you learned is that not all teachers, teaching materials, and commonly accepted knowledge turn out to be true: some turn out to be false by accident, some false by intention. You’ve learned to look through the deceit and falseness, or at the very least developed an instinct on where to look deeper and where not to trust authority.
Neptune in Pisces also taught you about a more compassionate, audience-appropriate communication that makes your words more easily understood in the right way. Neptune in Pisces is not an easy energy for communication as it often distorts meaning – both on the way from your mind to your mouth, and from your mouth to someone else’s ears (a.k.a., misunderstandings galore for all parties involved). However, a more poetic, intuitive, or creative usage of communicative faculties (including writing, singing, etc.) was greatly boosted by Neptune in Pisces. If you’ve dabbled in a creative endeavor or tried to learn a more metaphorical way of speaking, you likely succeeded.
Lastly, Neptune in Pisces revealed and transformed your mindsets and the way your thoughts work. While Neptune in Pisces can make a more emotional and emotion-driven thinking process more likely (and thereby, shape your perception accordingly), it also made you more aware of when not to trust your own mind but trust your gut instead. This is a lesson you can take with you into the future.
Aquarius
The last 14 years have taught you a lot about your worth… and where it doesn’t lie. Neptune in Pisces weaves illusions but also, with time, reveals truth – especially as it dissolves what wasn’t true in the first place. Any place or thing where you felt like your worth lay (that was outside of yourself), Neptune with time revealed to just be another place or thing. Attachment to outcomes, skills, or physical objects became a spiritual lesson and gradually dissolved with time.
You’ve also likely seen themes of people abusing or misusing spirituality, religion, humanitarianism, charity, or compassion in a context of money and self-worth (for instance, weaving a religious-like web around people to get rich, scamming people by claiming their money goes to charity, or using spiritual principles in a hypocritical way to feel holier than thou). This taught you about the sanctity of certain principles and values and how quickly they can be twisted (while sometimes still remaining shiny and promising on a surface level).
For you, money specifically – its meaning and energetics, but also its mechanisms as well as income, and spending – have been subject to massive internal transformations. The making and holding onto or not making and not holding onto of money may have taught you a lot about yourself, others, and life itself. You may have also realized that your relationship to money has an impact on the quality of your work and your bank account: you’ve learned about the consequences of prioritizing profit above all else (be it your own health, ethics, or else) and the temptation of overspending (and its effects on you and life), and even the avenues through which you could (ethically) make money, and how that alignment impacts your life and relationship to self as a whole. These are lessons that you can take with you and that keep you aligned in the future.
Pisces
The last 14 years have taught you all about who you are… and who you aren’t. Pisces and Neptune both dissolve our egoic ideas about who we truly are and put us in touch with a higher and less attached perspective that makes our identity more fluid, for lack of a better word.
The shadow of this is that it’s easier to believe other people’s ideas of who we are, even if they’re 100% nonsense. We’re more susceptible to manipulations and believing that we need things that aren’t true. The benefit of this is that it breeds its own kind of resilience and, most importantly, wisdom, understanding, and compassion for the world around us. Neptune in Pisces for you was a lesson in who you truly are – first by stripping away what doesn’t fit you, and then by revealing in subtle and almost magical ways what is true and opening yourself up to a perspective that’s not quite of this world. Neptune in Pisces purified your sense of self.
Your lifepath was also highly affected by Neptune in Pisces, meaning that you may have felt many moments of confusion about what you’re meant to do, where you’re going, and if you can do all of this, but also that you may have felt intuitively and even mystically/supernaturally led and protected on your path. A new life evolved for you step-by-step, even if it felt intangible and almost hidden in the mundane at times. Neptunian themes such as grief, depression, addiction, and escapism may have played an elevated role in your life… but so have the lighter themes of Neptune such as spirituality, intuition, religion, way-finding in the mysteries of life, creativity, dreams, and compassion/altruism/charity.
